UAE police seek suspect in killing of US teacher
DUBAI: A female American instructor has been wounded to death in the can of an Abu Dhabi shopping center yet police are dubious if the suspected executioner, who was wearing a dark robe, is a lady or a man, police said.
A suspect seen entering the shopping center in CCTV footage minutes before the killing Monday wore the conventional robe worn by Arab ladies in the locale. Yet police left open the likelihood that the massive figure could have been a man in mask.
Police Wednesday posted feature of the suspect.
“Examinations are still under approach to recognize the suspect’s character and sexual orientation. Witnesses reported that the guilty party was completely secured wearing an abaya, dark gloves and face cover,” a police proclamation said.
Police said the educator, 37, was cut with a “sharp device” and that the reason for the battle, which softened out up the ladies’ can, stays obscure. The suspect fled the scene.
The U.s. Consulate in the United Arab Emirates posted an announcement in October saying that an unnamed post on a jihadi web gathering had called for assaults on American instructors in the locale yet that it had no believable confirmation of any such plots.
Police were dealing with the victimized person’s 11-year-old twins pending the landing of their father, her ex, from abroad.
